Until now, the Black Sea has not turned into a hot war zone, mostly thanks to - or from some Ukrainian and Western circles’ point of view, because of – Ankara’s strategic interest to keep the Black Sea ‘battle-free,’ which it succeeded so far by carrying out a ‘balancing policy’ and implementing the relevant clauses of the Montreux Convention.
