    The Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) celebrates the 102nd anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, which paved the way for the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye.

  •   TURKISH LANGUAGE VERSION OF THE BOOK TITLED “12 INTERVIEWS IN 12 MONTHS: TRUTH ABOUT THE ARMENIAN CLAIMS” HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

    The Turkish language book titled “12 Ayda 12 Mülakat: Sözde Ermeni Soykırımı Hakkında Hakikat” has been published by Sonçağ Yayıncılık. The book is based on the project initiated by Fatih Özonur (Director of the Turkish-American Security Foundation (TASFO), a US based NGO), and has been edited by Emre Serbest (Deputy Director of TASFO) and Assoc. Prof. Ömer Lütfi Taşçıoğlu. The English language version of this book, titled “12 Interviews in 12 Months: Truth about the Armenian Claims” was published by Serbest Publishing LLC in 2024.

    We are deeply saddened to announce that Deniz Akçay, who obtained her Doctorat d’Etat en Droit Public diploma at Nancy-Université in 1982, attained the status of specialist jurist at the Permanent Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye at the Council of Europe in 1988, was bestowed with the title of Co-Agent of the Turkish Government by the decision of the Council of Ministers in 1998, and served as the Vice Chair and Chair of the Council of Europe Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH) between 2005-2010, has passed away on Monday, 2 January.

    We are deeply saddened to announce that Ömer Zeytinoğlu, who served as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye between 1968-2007 and in that capacity represented his country as the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Romania, has passed away on Wednesday, 16 April.

    On the occasion of 18 March Çanakkale Victory and Commemoration of Martyrs Day, as the staff of the Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM), we commemorate with respect and gratitude the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his brothers in arms, our glorious martyrs who lost their lives at Çanakkale, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs personnel, all public employees, and their family members who lost their lives during their assignments abroad as a result of the terror attacks perpetrated by ultranationalist Armenian groups.

  •   THE 33RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE KHOJALY MASSACRE

    AVİM commemorates with sorrow the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre that was committed by Armenian forces on 26 February 1992 in the city of Khojaly in Karabakh, a region of Azerbaijan that was occupied by Armenia and its affiliated Armenian separatist forces for around 30 years.
