Kabul has hosted the first conference dedicated to attracting investment and supporting Afghanistan’s energy sector.

The event brought together representatives of the Afghan government, delegations from the energy ministries of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, as well as officials from international organizations and diplomatic missions.

During the conference, a financial contract was signed for the construction of 220–500 kV transmission lines and substations in Afghanistan, officially launching the project.
