President Tufan Erhürman said initiatives that disregard Turkish Cypriots and recent developments were undermining the existing level of trust, stressing that “writing history together” was far from easy under such circumstances.

Erhürman assessed the Cyprus issue, regional developments and confidence-building measures.

He said agreements signed with various countries, particularly Israel and Greece, disregarded Turkish Cypriots and represented initiatives that risked lasting peace and stability on the island and in the region.
