Organization of Turkic States (3 October 2026)

On 2 October 2026, on the sidelines of the Sixth Meeting of the Ministers of Health of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General held bilateral meetings in Bishkek. He met with H.E. Damirbek Osmonov, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Teymur Musayev, Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan; H.E. Akmaral Alnazarova, Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and H.E. Nurullah Okumuş, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye.

During the meetings, the sides exchanged information on developing cooperation to ensure the safety and accessibility of medicines, joint procurement mechanisms and on modern approaches to addressing health workforce shortages as well as training and exchange of medical personnel. They also discussed the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, including the experiences of the OTS countries and the prospects for joint regulation in this area. The Secretary General emphasized the importance of advancing these priorities through joint activities under the umbrella of the OTS, in line with the "Turkic World Vision 2040."
