Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed on Sunday, the necessity of full respect for Sudan's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and non-interference in its internal affairs.

The media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Minister of Iraq, during his participation in the ministerial meeting held in the Arab League, stressed the necessity of full respect for Sudan's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and non-interference in its internal affairs, and that the crisis be dealt with the current situation as an internal Sudanese matter."

The statement pointed to the importance of preserving the Sudanese national state institutions and preventing their collapse, and preventing any external interference in Sudanese affairs in order to avoid fueling conflict and threatening regional peace and security."
