Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Thursday that peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the help of U.S. President Donald Trump had opened new prospects for the South Caucasus.

Addressing the 81st session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Pashinyan said those prospects included the development of regional connectivity and economic cooperation.

“The peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan established on Aug. 8, 2025 with the support and personal engagement of U.S. President Donald Trump has opened up new opportunities for our region, the South Caucasus,” he said.
