Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has reacted to remarks made by Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides targeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan from the UN podium, saying, “No matter who supports them, they will not be able to change the realities of Cyprus.”

In a statement, Üstel accused the Greek Cypriot leadership of hypocrisy and said the “realities” of the Cyprus problem were being ignored.

“If hypocrisy is being sought in Cyprus, the address is clear: the Greek Cypriot leadership and those who applaud it unconditionally,” Üstel said.
