Uzbekistan and Iran held a fresh round of political consultations in Tehran, focusing on bilateral ties and opportunities to strengthen economic, investment and transport cooperation.

This was reflected in the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, following a meeting between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Iran on August 17, Trend reported.

Uzbekistan’s delegation was led by First Deputy Foreign Minister Bakhromjon Aloyev, while Iran’s delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
