The United States donated approximately $1.4 million in vehicles and specialized equipment to Armenia’s Border Guard during a ceremony attended by U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Security Assistance Programs Shawna Wilson, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen, and Armenian Border Guard Chief of Staff Colonel Roman Sahakyan, the U.S. Embassy said in a press release.

The U.S. Department of State’s Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program provided the donation, which includes vehicles, ambulances, protective equipment, maintenance tools, and modern IT equipment for the Ayrum border crossing point. The equipment will enhance operational mobility, strengthen border management capabilities, and support the ongoing modernization of Armenia’s Border Guard.
