Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi chaired, this evening, Tuesday, the 21st regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which the overall situation in the country was reviewed, the items on the agenda were discussed, and the necessary decisions were adopted.

The Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA that “As part of the government’s efforts to regulate the administrative framework of the security institutions, and in recognition of the sacrifices made by members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Council of Ministers voted to approve the Popular Mobilization Forces Bill and approved its referral to the Council of Representatives for a vote in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution”.

The Council of Ministers also voted to approve the Internal Security Forces Healthcare Department Bill, as reviewed by the State Council, and referred it to the Council of Representatives.
