Armenia is seeking a “friendly solution” to the issue of railway management with Russia and is not considering unilateral termination of the existing concession agreement, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

Speaking at a government briefing, Pashinyan stressed that Armenia has no problem with the Russian management of the railway as such, but is concerned that the current arrangement may be preventing the country from fully integrating its railway into international transport networks.

“We want a friendly solution. We do not want to go for a termination or liquidation,” Pashinyan said.
