Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani met on Monday with the Governor of Maysan, Habib Dhaher Al-Fartousi, along with several members of the Provincial Council.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of maintaining security in the province and resolving tribal conflicts and recurring criminal incidents, which are attributed to the weak performance of security agencies, according to a statement by the PM Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He directed that "those failing in their duties be held accountable, and that a review of performance be conducted, with firm measures taken against anyone attempting to disrupt the province’s security."
