Iraqi Airways said on Thursday it had resumed flights to Iran.

The airline said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the routes include regular daily flights from Najaf International Airport to several Iranian airports, including Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan.

The resumption of flights followed efforts by the prime minister and oversight by the transport minister, after the completion of the necessary regulatory and technical requirements to ensure their operation, the statement said.
