During an emergency meeting held on Thursday, Iraq's National Security Advisor called on the United States to reconsider its decision to suspend support for international organizations operating in Iraq.

A statement issued by the media office of the National Security Advisor, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated: "Under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the National Security Advisor held an emergency meeting with all ministers involved in the areas of work identified in the letter of the UN Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, regarding the Al-Amal Center, Al-Hawl Camp, and the file of Iraqi families returning from northeastern Syria. The meeting discussed the impact of amending US funding for UN programs in Iraq."
