Iraq and Armenia held a round of political consultations at the headquarters of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baghdad and signed two memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The ministry’s media office said in a statement that the Foreign Ministry in Baghdad hosted the round of political consultations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Armenia as part of the two countries’ efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand prospects for cooperation across various fields.

The ministry added that Deputy Foreign Minister for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al-Uloum received Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ani Avetisyan, and her accompanying delegation.
