Papuashvili and Mirzoyan also discussed regional peace issues, noting  the importance of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia this year for “ensuring peace and prosperity” in the region, with the visiting FM expressing gratitude for Georgia's readiness to promote regional peace.

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Wednesday discussed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy for further deepening the cooperation with Armenia with Ararat Mirzoyan, the visiting Armenian Foreign Minister.  

The meeting highlighted the declaration on strategic partnership, signed between the states in January, noting it as a “logical continuation of the historical friendship” between the countries, the Parliament’s press office said.
