*AVİM's Note: The French Parliament's adoption of a resolution calling for the release of individuals allegedly held captive in Azerbaijan is not the first example of the influence of the Armenian diaspora in France on distorted facts leading to bias on law and politics.

The French Senate yesterday unanimously adopted a resolution calling for the release of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan, ARF Bureau member and co-chair of the Coordinating Council of French-Armenian organizations Murad Papazyan reported.

The resolution, presented by Laurent Wauquiez and proposed by the France-Armenia Friendship Group, received 183 votes in favor, with no votes against among those present.

“We have reduced Azerbaijan’s influence in France to zero,” Papazyan wrote.
