The Financial Action Task Force’s decision to put Bosnia back on its ‘watch list’ will deter international investors and place fresh obstacles on Bosnia’s European path, experts warn.

After the Financial Action Task Force, FATF, a global intergovernmental money-laundering watchdog, put Bosnia and ​Herzegovina back on its “grey list” ​of countries whose efforts to combat money laundering and ​financial crime need close monitoring, experts have warned of consequences for the country’s economy.

The reason for including Bosnia on the grey list again was its failure to adopt a law on the confiscation of assets acquired through criminal acts and the failure to establish a register of beneficial ownership in the country’s Federation entity.
