Türkiye and Azerbaijan have signed defence agreements worth more than $500 million, including a contract for 14 Hurkus-II trainer aircraft, Türkiye’s Defence Industries President Haluk Gorgun said.

The agreements were signed during the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition 2026 in Baku as the two countries seek to deepen defence industry cooperation.

Gorgun said on Wednesday the deals would strengthen bilateral defence capabilities and build on cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan during natural disasters, wars and other emergencies.
