Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Directorate of Communications (1 September 2025)
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in China for the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), met with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as regional and global matters, were discussed.
In the meeting, President Erdoğan underscored the importance of Türkiye and Azerbaijan shaping their regional development initiatives in coordination in the period ahead.
