The Ministry of Oil confirmed on Tuesday that Iraq's crude oil exports have reached approximately 2.7 million barrels per day, pointing out plans to increase export volumes through northern and southern outlets and to reach the full available capacity of the Iraq-Türkiye export pipeline.

Ministry spokesman Salim Al-Rikabi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Ministry of Oil, under the direct supervision of the Oil Minister, is making significant efforts to maintain and increase Iraqi crude oil export volumes amidst the ongoing Strait of Hormuz crisis, which is considered a global energy crisis."

"Iraqi crude oil export volumes have seen a substantial rise; after standing at around 200,000 barrels per day last May, they have now reached approximately 2.7 million barrels per day, despite the circumstances and challenges imposed by the Strait of Hormuz crisis," Al-Rikabi stated.
