Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan's president has invited Donald Trump to make history — extending a formal invitation for what would be the first-ever visit by a sitting U.S. president to the Central Asian nation.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered the invitation in a congratulatory message to Trump on the occasion of his birthday, using the diplomatic gesture to both celebrate the personal milestone and advance a broader geopolitical agenda.

In the message, Mirziyoyev described Uzbek-American relations as having reached "a qualitatively new level," built on mutual respect, trust, and shared interests — and expressed Tashkent's clear appetite for deeper engagement. "Cooperation between our two countries is particularly strong today and is acquiring an increasingly practical character," the Uzbek leader wrote, signaling a shift from symbolic diplomacy toward concrete deliverables.
