Over the period 2019-2024, the volume of trade between Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam increased almost 13 times, reflecting the growing economic partnership between the two nations. This growth was announced during a meeting between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi, where the two leaders discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Kasymaliev emphasized the Kyrgyz Republic's commitment to deepening economic ties with Vietnam, highlighting the need to establish an intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. He also proposed signing three key agreements on investment protection, economic collaboration, and avoidance of double taxation to further boost trade and investment.

"I am convinced that my visit to Vietnam will open a new page in Kyrgyz-Vietnamese relations. Our countries share common approaches to regional security and economic development, and I believe that closer cooperation will provide additional momentum to our partnership," Kasymaliev stated.
