India brought together senior officials from the four Quad countries in New Delhi on Thursday, September 3, to push ahead with practical cooperation on maritime security, technology, economic growth and disaster relief.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri hosted the Quad Sherpas’ meeting, which was attended by Japan’s Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Hiroyuki Namazu, Australia’s Deputy Secretary of the Strategic Planning and Coordination Group Eleanor Jane Lawson and U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor.

The officials reviewed progress across key areas and discussed possible new initiatives that could be announced at the next Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
