The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, who is in Tbilisi on a two-day working visit, held a meeting.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has positively assessed the finalization of negotiations on the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed hope that the document will be signed in the near future.

According to a readout issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the meeting emphasized the exceptional opportunity for achieving peace in the South Caucasus. Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed the Georgian government's readiness to continue contributing to dialogue and to ensuring peace and stability in the region.
