Iraq's President Nizar Amedi said dialogue and mutual understanding remain essential in preventing crises during his meeting at Baghdad Palace with Turkish intelligence chief İbrahim Kalın.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA that “President Amedi received Kalın and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Iraqi National Intelligence Service chief Hamid Al-Shatri, as both sides discussed ways to strengthen coordination between Iraq and Turkey across key security and intelligence areas.

The statement added,“The meeting reviewed the latest regional and international developments, alongside efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in the security and intelligence fields in ways that safeguard the shared interests of both countries”.
