Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Farzaneh Sadegh, Iran’s minister of roads and urban development and co-chair of the Azerbaijan–Iran Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, in Baku on Monday to discuss joint projects and prospects for bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, President Aliyev said ongoing joint initiatives would create broad opportunities for both countries and the wider region, expressing hope that talks during Sadegh’s visit would yield positive results, News.Az reports, citing AZERTAC.

The sides recalled Sadegh’s previous visit and her earlier meeting with the Azerbaijani president. Aliyev also noted his recent phone call with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, during which they discussed cooperation between the two countries.
