Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey are preparing to hold a trilateral command-and-staff military exercise in Azerbaijan later this year, with the drills focused on protecting strategic infrastructure and regional transportation routes.

A main planning conference for the “Eternity-2026” exercise was held under the annual military cooperation program between the defence ministries of the three countries. The computer-assisted exercise is scheduled for November, according to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence.

Alongside military personnel from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, representatives of Azerbaijan Railways and the country’s State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Facilities are also expected to participate.
