Center-right coalition braces for an unprecedented political challenge with four separate no-confidence votes on its reform proposals – all due to be debated the same day.

Romania’s government faces four no-confidence motions, all filed by the right-wing opposition Alliance for the Unity of Romanians, AUR, which has strongly criticized Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan’s reform package aimed at reducing the budget deficit.

They come after the government on Friday last week approved a second package of fiscal reform measures aimed at reshaping the public administration and the management of state-owned enterprises.
