PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani affirmed on Tuesday that Iraq stands with Syria's stability and sovereignty over its territory, rejecting any aggression against it, and working to enhance coordination and solidarity to confront common challenges.

Al-Sudani met on Tuesday with the Minister of Energy of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Mohammed Al-Bashir, according to a statement by the PM Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The meeting reviewed the prospects for bilateral relations between the two countries and "ways to enhance them in various fields, particularly in the energy sector, in a manner that serves the interests of both brotherly peoples."
