North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said on Monday that Bulgaria has been raising objections to the use of the shortened version of the country’s full name, the Republic of North Macedonia, in EU documents.

But Osmani said that is willing to clarify and possibly add an annex to its 2017 friendship treaty with Bulgaria to sort the issue out and to guarantee that the use of the shortened name ‘North Macedonia’ does not imply claims on Bulgaria’s territory.
