Iraq’s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) has suspended crude supplies to India’s Nayara Energy following European Union sanctions on the Russian-linked refiner, three sources told Reuters.

The move, alongside a halt in shipments from Saudi Aramco, left Nayara reliant on Russian crude imports in August, according to the sources and shipping data from Kpler and LSEG.

The refiner typically receives around 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude and 1 million barrels of Saudi crude each month but did not record deliveries from either supplier last month.
