Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan is steadily expanding across all sectors, stressing the importance of passing on the two nations’ shared cultural heritage to future generations.

Pezeshkian made the remarks in a meeting with Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, which took place on the sidelines of the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China, on Monday.

For his part, President Rahmon voiced a strong interest in deepening relations with Iran, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, and culture. He also strongly condemned the June military aggression by Israel and the United States against Iran.
