On 1 March 2019 a conference titled “Türkiye-Fransa İlişkilerinde ‘Ermeni Sorunu’ ve Türk Diasporasının Rolü” (“Armenian Question” and the Role of the Turkish Diaspora in Turkey-France Relations) was held at AVİM. The speaker of the conference was Dr Nihal Eminoğlu, a faculty member at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Department of International Relations.

Dr. Nihal Eminoğlu in her speech presented a historical analysis of the outlook of France to the genocide allegations as one of the problematic fields in Turkey-France relations. Following that, Dr. Eminoğlu discussed the role of the Turks living in France with respect the debates on the 1915 events taking place in this country.
