The President of the Iraqi Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, affirmed the necessity of respecting international law and strengthening the principle of dialogue as a means to resolve conflicts.

The Media Office of the President of the Republic stated in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “As part of his participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received, at his residence in New York, the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, and higher education. The President of the Republic emphasized the importance of expanding horizons of partnership and coordination in international fora.”
