French President Emmanuel Macron convinced Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to submit in order to strike at Russia and force it either to get involved in the war in the Caucasus, or to retreat. According to Arthur Khachikian, a doctor of political science at Stanford University, it was Macron's revenge for Putin squeezing France out of Africa. "Armenians have once again become a victim of European hypocrites," Arthur Khachikian, a doctor of political science at Stanford University, writes in his Telegram channel. In support of this version, he cites an excerpt from an interview with Tigran Egavyan, a French researcher of international relations at the Christian Institute of Geopolitics in Paris, a graduate student at the Institute of Political Sciences of France.
