The Second European Union - Central Asia Summit, chaired by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, has started in Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan.

Before entering the congress hall Sadyr Zhaparov greeted each of the heads of delegations - President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel, leaders of Central Asian countries - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajikistan - Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan - Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nurmukhammet Amannepesov.

At the end of the handshake ceremony and joint photographing, the heads of delegations gathered in the meeting room for the second meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the President of the EU.
